49 days to go until I start my new gig at 1270. Can't wait to get my hands on a station with so many resources.
Many rumors swirling around regarding the next play-by-play announcers for the Detroit Tigers. The candidates are good, not sure how it will turn out but the process is winding down and I believe people will be somewhat surprised. Obviously nobody will be able to replace Ernie, but the new guys will likely be from Detroit and have a lot of experience covering this franchise. Whoever they are, give them at least a week on the air before you make up your mind.
I get the impression that the Lions have cashed it out for the season. Don't expect to see any more winnining in 2002. I think the Lions are in full "Charles Rogers mode." With the potential career ending injury to Az Hakim, they will be looking for a reciever in the draft. They just need to lose more! Marty is on the spot now, he was brought in here as a QB guru, can he save Joey Ballgame?
OSU players are yapping. They couldn't be playing into Michigan's hands better. The saftey from Ohio State challenged Michigan tonight saying "I hope they can match our intensity" or something to that effect. What a rube, haven't they learned their lesson? I think Michigan wins by 6.
