Just got back from watching De-troit go to work bitch! They beat the Bucks 96-91 tonight. The Famous Chicken was there. Haven't seen him since the 80's. The act hasn't change much, but the keeedz seem to like it. Ben Wallace was nuts again tonight. 12 points. 20 boards. He is unbelievable. Isn't it amazing that everybody thought the Pistons were toast after Grant Hill bailed out? Ben and Chucky have both been great contributors to this team. Another packed house at the Palace tonight. I get the feeling that Detroit is starting to take notice of this team. It took some time but the folks at the Palace have gotten this team back on the map. The latest rage is the Celebriduck. The Pistons gave out the Ben Wallace Celebriduck tonight, I just checked E-bay and it is going for $30.00. I didn't realize there were celebriducks for most of the top athletes today. Esh!
Didn't even bother to shop today. I'll do it all on the Internet. I just can't bring myself to wait in lines to spend money.
I feel the same way about the Lions. I just can't spend anymore time or money on this product. They are just a boring, mismanaged team in disarray right now. Something has to change soon. How much longer will Lion fans shell out big dollars to watch uninspired football? It almost makes you long for the days of Wayne Fontes. Granted, he had Barry Sanders, but at least his teams were interesting with Barry, Herman Moore, Bret Perriman and Scott Mitchell. It is too bad; I have skipped the last two games. I am just not motivated to fight the downtown traffic to watch bad football. I don't blame the fans for booing loudly on Thursday. But what happens now? Do wack the GM, The Head Coach or both? I wish I knew what the plan was that they agreed on with the Ford family. Were they brought in here to improve on a 9-7 team or to break it down and rebuild? I think it makes a difference in how we perceive this administration and I wish we knew.
