The William Clay Ford outburst yesterday was fantastic. As a long time Detroit Lion fan I am glad to see William Clay Ford took a stand against a stupid ruling and to finally inject his awesome power as a “FORD” on the NFL. The immense size of the Ford Motor Company and its ownership of the Lion is an advantage for the Lions that they are only starting to invoke. We saw it last year when they pressured the NFL to bring the pre-game show to Detroit for the Packer game and we saw it this year when they told the NFL to take a leap over the Mariucci hiring. If William Clay Ford or Jr. decide to exert their power the sky is the limit for this franchise. How long have we admired Dallas and Jerry Jones or San Francisco for their aggressive ownership? Maybe we won’t have to watch ownership sit by idly while the NFL takes advantage of it anymore. Bet they don't attempt to take the Thanksgiving Day tradition away anytime soon.
The Tigers still stink.
