Where to start with the latest on Kwame Kilpatrick. The news media is hiding behind every door and Hizzoner is starting to look even more embarrassing than we could have ever imagined. Consider the latest stupidity out of the Manoogian mansion.
Early this week Kilpatrick was asked why the city of Detroit was buying bottled water for his employees. The genius response from Kwame was to invoke race. His exact quote to Local 4's Kevin Dietz was "Slavery is dead Kevin, we don't have to ask Massa for a drink anymore. If my people want water, they get water." What Kwame didn't answer was why the bottled water was purchased when it is just a filtered version that flows from the city drinking fountains everyday. This is a ridiculus affront to any ration Detroit voter.
At the same time Kwame was asked specifics about the $211,000 he charged to his city issued credit card. After stalling for months, the city finally provided his credit card records with charges to The Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas blacked out. He also blacked out purchases at a nightclub called Dream in Washington D.C. and restaurants like Sweet Georgia Brown in Detroit. Furthermore, his sister also used the credit card to pay for a room in New Orleans. Remember, the Mayor spent $11,000 to visit the Super Bowl in New Orleans. Fact finding mission for Super Bowl XL in Detroit next year, right! Charges also included $75 for flowers to National radio host Tavis Smiley. I wonder when I get my wonderful bouquet. Yesterday Kwame announced his intention to seek re-election and decided it was a good time to play the race card again. Here is a laughable video of his momma defending him.
