Podcasting isn't listening online, it is the actual syndication of the Podcast through an RSS (real simple syndication) feed. You are only podcasting if you download the program to your Ipod. If you listen on the BLOG, you are streaming. Make sense? Either way is fine, but some of these radio station aren't really podcasting unless you are loading it on your Ipod.
If you are looking for a way to transfer the Podcast to your Ipod, you need to go to Ipodder. Download the Ipodder program.
Cut and paste my rss feed URL into the podcast directory, not the whole code, just the web address. When I do a new Podcast it will automatically download it to your Ipod and you can listen anywhere, anytime. You will get the new podcast when you dock you Ipod for updates.
Here is my first attempt at podcasting. Download podcast1.mp3 It is short and the audio is a little muddy, but what do you want from an out of work Talk Show Host. Let me know what you think and what you would like to hear.
Kwame Kilpatrick has stooped to an all time low. In an ad in a black newspaper Kwame plays the "lynch card." The ad claim that "Lynching is Still Legal in America," and highlites various media members who are involved. What a sad state for the Kilpatrick campaign that they have to resort to race baiting to keep alive the sinking campaign. Thanks to Kwame Kilpatrick.com for the ad!
This post appeared on my message boards and I couldn't let it go unchallenged.
The people who blindly follow Gregg as he jumps over the cliff's edge should be aware as to why he was fired.
When someone (such as tic tac) is a public figure, they are open to ridicule. Gregg calling him "gay" would not be enough to start any real trouble. Think of all the things he said about Mitch Albom- those were fine.
The problem is when he starts to make false accusations. That is called "libel" and opens the door for legal action against the station.
When Gregg said that tic tac was a registered sex offender in Ohio and Florida, and that he was convicted of child molestation- that fell under "libel". In other words, Gregg was broadcasting something he knew not to be true, or had a good idea it wasn't true, and that thing was something illegal (unlike accusations of being gay- while they would annoy anyone, they are not accusations of illegal behavior).
Here's where it gets interesting, while most people are smart enough to not believe everything Gregg says as the gospel, there are still quite a few complete and utter morons who think that if Gregg says it, it must be true. All it takes is for one of these future Darwin Award winners to contact tic tac at work, or at a public appearance and harass him- and bingo-bango, all of a sudden tic tac has the basis for a lawsuit against WKRK.
Now, I don't know this tic tac guy, I've never heard his show- but I have listened to some of the guys who are so enamored by Gregg you can practically hear his ball-sack in their mouth when they call the MCM show. I would not be surprised to hear that one of these mental midgets harassed tic tac in some way.
I highly doubt the FCC would even get involved in this, this is a station management decision. And yes, Gregg has had trouble within the company before.
Knowing that he was under a scrutinous eye, you would think Gregg would have the common sense to not break the law on the air. Apparently not.
I truly feel sorry for Nikki and the kids, as he obviously puts their better interest behind his own self importance. Gregg has long been a loud-mouthed bigot, and now it has backfired. At the expense of his family's security and welfare no less. If she has any sense she will leave him while she can still clear herself of the looming credit problems he is facing.
Sucks to have a big new house payment, and no income...
Edited for grammar, not content. Original message remains unchanged.
First and foremost, nobody ever said Tic Tak was on a sex offender list! Period. That is what makes my firing so maddening. This was about me enforcing my own contractual rights and making people look bad because they didn't have their shit together. Trust me, when this comes out, people will look really bad. If exercising my contractual rights constituted "problems with the company before" so be it, I'm not going to let some dirtbag from out of town treat me that way. I was never in this business to protect my job, there are plenty of great radio stations out there, I don't ever want to be an ass covering tool. I will move anywhere and love it, trust me, I'm going to a better situation. Please don't patronize me by saying how "sorry" you are for Nikki and my kids, you don't know them and they could give a crap about your insults. Additionally, what looming credit problems is this tool talking about, isn't that slander? Don't come in here and act like you know me or anything about my family and career, unless you are ready to use your name!
Yes, my new stations streams. I don't know that you will like it as I won't have my girl Michelle with me, that is one talented bitch. I love her. The show will be sports, but hopefully we will do a lot of stuff you liked on MCM. I hope I can be good without her, don't underestimate the power of a talented partner. I am nervous.
I will announce the station in a day or so, I am really excited about this project and don't want to make an announcement before it is official.
