I admit, when I heard him use the word "stupidly" last night I did a double take. Did I just hear the POTUS (President of the United States) say a policeman doing his job had acted "stupidly?" Oh no he didn't, oh yes he did. The leader of the free world had indeed come out in opposition of a Police Officer in a national press conference.
I admit, I had a lot of thoughts at first, not the least of which was "that is about the least Presidential thing I have ever heard in my life." If Bush has said that, he would have been impeached.
In the final years of the Bush Presidency, his opponents were fond of saying he would go down in history as one of the worst Presidents of all time. While a large exaggeration, I wonder where these people are now as we watch this unqualified, inexperienced, rather dumb Senator from Illinois fumble his way embarrassingly through his first year in office. His first six months have been the biggest disaster in the history of United States Presidential politics, the spending, the far left agenda, the bumbling, the rather embarrassing "plain talk," and the complete lack of Presidential demeanor have made him a laughing stock in a very short period of time.
Obama proved to me last night that he isn't really a "unite-er" he's a "divider" caught up in the same old racial politics and far left extremism that has left the liberals out of office for so long. He clearly has problems with white America (I didn't think this was possible) as he allowed himself to be dragged into a needless racial debate that clearly isn't one that should be held up as a landmark is American race relations. This case was simply a smart ass "Harvard elite" vs. a potentially arrogant cop and it got out of hand. I would like to know why the disorderly conduct charges were dropped?
I am also concerned that Obama sent a message to black men or any man that authority was something to be obeyed, but only if you feel like you are being treated poorly. Face it, there is already deep distrust among a lot of brothers of the police anyway, now the POTUS has told them all that it is OK to disobey a police officer of they are really angry or feel the police officer is wrong. The bad messages to young Americans are endless in this situation. I don't care who you are, when a police officer asks you to do something, no matter how pissed you are, YOU DO IT. There is no reasonable debate here!
Obama's administration has come unhinged, they are in WAY over their heads and the American people, even the blind who voted for him are starting to see the MAJOR mistake of making him the POTUS. The next 3 1/2 years of this administration will be rocky, we can only hope that this country is strong enough to hold together while he bombards us with his FAR left agenda.
