This is so embarrassing it is painful to watch. President Obama proposes a toast to the Queen of England but instead of ending with "I'd like to propose a toast to the Queen," he starts with the phrase. He apparently didn't understand that it was a que for the orchestra to begin playing "GOD Save The Queen."
Obama continues the toast and is shut down by the Queen as he attempts to raise his glass.
The guy who shot the video about free speech that I posted on Friday has another hilarious video. In this video he asks college kids who believe the rich should pay more taxes to sign a petition to share their grade points with those whose aren't as high.
This is just priceless, watch these kids dance. If it weren't so funny it would really piss me off.
13 year old Duggan Smith had cancer in his thigh when he was 10. The doctor amputated his leg and put it back on backwards so the kid could continue to play baseball. This is how the procedure called rotationplasty is described.
The diseased portion of the leg is removed, and then the lower portion (containing the lower shin, ankle, and foot) is turned 180 degrees and grafted back onto the upper thigh. The ankle functions as a knee, the foot becomes the upper shin, and a prosthetic leg then fills out the lower portion.
This is really funny, I haven't laughed this hard in a while.
A guy asks a bunch of people on a college campus to sign a petition to ban Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck from the radio, then he asks them if they believe in free speech. Comical. There are some really dumb people.
I was alerted this morning by a Detroit e-mailer that Frank Beckmann and Mitch Albom were going at each other this morning on WJR over film subsidies in Michigan.
This was very reminicent of my own battle with Mitch back in the WKRK days, which you can hear here. In true Mitch form he tried to filibuster and run but to Beckmann's credit he wasn't having any of it. He forced Mitch to stick around and have a great give and take over Mitch's lack of transparency regarding his own advocacy of the Michigan film take credit. Frank did a great job of making sure Mitch was accountable.
The bottom line, Mitch has a credibility issue, nobody believes a word he says because of his fake column about Michigan State a few years ago. That is exactly why Mitch should have been fired from the Free Press, he lacks serious credibility. The irony is unbelievable as Mitch attempts to create credibility. Why wasn't he this throughout when he was fabricating a column about Michigan State basketball. Bottom line, Mitch is forced into this position because of his past lack of honesty.
This video was taken in a Dallas area high school. One student punches another in the head multiple times as the teacher stands there and watches. The teacher didn't intervene because there is no policy in place for a teacher should he become injured breaking up a fight. How about a human policy, you know one that says to "help a brother out?" If a school can't insure a ' safety, why are we turning our kids over to the schools everyday.
