This was our first Christmas not spent with family in Michigan and all things considered was a great first effort in Texas. We have so many family and friends in Michigan that it was hard to be away during the holidays. Our new friends in Round Rock are just amazing, we spent Christmas eve at Troy and Sarah's house eating, drinking and enjoying the children. Today was spent at Steve and Carol's, it was so nice. The kids played outside all day. It was sunny and warm, high of about 65.
We have much to be thankful for this holiday season. On Friday we signed the lease for our Jungle Java, we should be up and running by May 1. I am also thankful to have a job that I am really enjoying at KVET-AM and we have great friends in Austin.
The kids woke us up at 7:30 a.m. and we broadcasts the whole present opening over the web to Grandma in Florida. She was thrilled to be able to watch the kids open their presents live.
I hope your Christmas was spent with family and loved ones, Merry Christmas!
I wish I could send you all a Christmas card as a thank you for supporting my web site, but that would be impossible....however, I can give you all a virtual Christmas card, just like the ones we send to our families...here it is....the 2007 edition of the Henson Family Christmas Card. It features various shots of our travels over the last 12 months...
The card includes pictures of the Kids in their new University of Texas shirts, a picture of all of us at Noah's pre-school "graduation" in Philadelphia, a picture at the Texas State Capital in Austin and one of Noah and Cooper on the boardwalk in Atlantic City.
p.s. The cards were done by a company out of Grand Rapids called 2peas1pod.com. They are friends of ours, so, if you want cards, let me know they have some deals.
